Recount Text

Recount bermakna "menceritakan kembali".
Jadi recount text bisa diartikan sebagai "Text yang menceritakan kembali apa yangterjadi".
Sehingga recount text adalah sebuah teks yang menceritakan sebuah cerita, aksi ataupun aktifitas yang terjadi pada waktu yang lalu.

Tujuan recount text adalah untuk menghibur atau menceritakan penngalaman; bisa pengalaman penulis atau orang lain (to retell someone's experience)

Generic Structure dari Recount Text
Generic structure (susunan umum) recount text ini terdiri dari:
Orientation
"Orientation" menceritakan siapa saja yang terlibat dalam cerita, apa yang terjadi, di mana tempat peristiwa terjadi, dan kapan terjadi peristiwanya

Series of Events
"Event" menceritakan apa yang terjadi (lagi) dan menceritakan urutan ceritanya

Reorientation
"Reorientation" berisi penutup cerita / akhir cerita

Orientation:(Who,When,Where)
Last week I went to east Java for holiday. I stayed at my uncle’s house at Cemara Lawang Probolinggo. It has a big garden with lots of colorful flowers and a fish pond.

Event 1: (Happening sequences)
On the first day I went to Mount Bromo

Event 2:
The next day my aunt my uncle and I saw Gunung Batok and went on scenic ride on horseback. It was scary. Then we went to get a closer look at the mountain. We took a picture of beautiful sceneries there.

Event 3:
On the last day we went to the zoo at Wonokromo. We saw cockatoos having shower.


Reorientation:
In the afternoon we went home. It was fun.
